Audrey Kawasaki
When I created this site, my first blog post was a tribute to Audrey Kawasaki. The other day, my friend was showing me the new issue of Juxtapoz magazine when I noticed that they were featuring new work from Audrey. I raced over to her site, and saw what could be her greatest body of work to date. Please drop by and experience one of the finest artists on this blog.

Aaron Grayum
I stumbled upon a site today called www.tinymusicbox.com showcasing the artwork of Aaron Grayum. I love the simplicity in the paintings. Intrigue stems from the perfect layout and proportions of the rather simple elements. Visit the site and form an opinion for yourself.
Oliver Vernon
I came across Oliver Vernon doing a live painting at a STS9 show. His surreal patterns give me the feeling that I'm traveling through the painting rather than just observing it. If you live in the midwest, there is a rather large party on December 9, 2006 called Entheon in which Oliver Vernon will be performing another of his live paintings, an experience you wont want to miss.
Ken Vallario
This New York artist has an intoxicating style of abstracting his images. With the amazing quality of Ken Vallario's body of work shown here, it's no wonder that he was chosen to show at the Melody Wier Gallery. Ken Vallario is definitely a name worth remembering.
Valeriy Skrypka
Living in Chicago, I see my fair share of fine art, however, there is just something about art from the Ukraine that I just can't resist. I must visit someday. Valeriy Skrypka is my newest infatuation. I can't bring myself to deconstruct [his] method, because I feel like it would take some of the joy out of the paintings when I look at them. Is it possible to fall in love with art?

Esao Andrews
I can't believe I waited this long to post a link to Esao Andrews. This is by far my greatest inspiration in the art world. I have yet to see a single work from Esao Andrews that I didn't absolutely love. Do not pass this up.
Jacalin Subrinsky
I just started a new quarter at The Illinois Institute of Art Chicago, where I was pleased to meet my new professor Jacalin Subrinsky. I decided to link you to her wonderful canvas creations. I don't think I've ever seen anything like them before. These fine paintings are forged with many levels of emotion. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. I couldn't find a link to a professional design portfolio, but as soon as I locate one, I'll post it here. |
